Congratulations to junior members, Ella Mansfield and Arthur Fenwick who came first and third in the Dyke Golf Club Junior Open on Wednesday 30th October.

The competition had to be rescheduled from a date earlier in the year and due to the fading light, was reduced to 16 holes. Despite this the scores were exceptional, Ella having 38 points and Arthur, narrowly beaten on countback had 37 points.

Well played both!

Well done to Tim Ingram who won the Les Green Committee Cup on Sunday 15 September with a very impressive 40 points.

Congratulations to Stacey Dibbs and Goran Soldar for winning the above event. A superb 41 points in blustery conditions to beat the 40 points Sue Gleeson and Alan Henty had scored earlier in the event.

Really good day, lots of smiles and chat and a nice atmosphere. The golf course played beautifully, greens rolling nicely and manicured fairways and surrounds.

The winning team with a score of 26.5 were Danny Brown, Pete Rodger, Ron Baker & Richard (Dick) Rodger who win £30 each.

Joint second with a score of 27.5 were Wayne Hatcher, Tim Vye, Jimmy Jones & Simon Tunmore and Jason Hausdoerfer, Bill McCusker, Rick Roberts & Keith Jones. They all win £15 each.

There was no winner for the ladies nearest the pin or longest drive on the 5th.

1st place with 82 points were Keith Fender, Kev Woolley, Cliff Woolley & Tom Shaw who win £60 each.

In 2nd place with 81 points were Howard Coulson, Wayne Humphrey, Mark Haggart & Megan Bibby who win £40 each.

3rd place, also with 81 points but beaten on countback were Darren Cook, Dale Brunton, Mike Arthur & Ryan Miller, all winning £25 each.

Bev Davis won the ladies longest drive on the 5th hole and Steve Alverson won the men’s longest drive on the 18th hole.

Again, there was no winner for the ladies nearest the pin on the 7th.
