This year's Drive In was a military style affair in honour of the incoming Captain's chosen charity, Hire a Hero.
Alan Pook drove down the 14th fairway in a camouflaged buggy and to the tune of military drummers, where he was met by the past Captains and a packed Clubhouse.
Last year's Captain, Gary Salt putted out on the 18th green and then Alan, after the traditional large brandy and trick ball, made his drive of 134 yards.
Congratulations, Alan, we wish you every success for your upcoming year,
The senior’s Captain, Julian Hance also drove in. Well done Julian and best wishes for your forthcoming year.
The Past Captains all congregated afterwards at the Clubhouse entrance for the traditional annual photo.
More photos can be seen on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The Club AGM took place on Friday 22 November and witnessed the completion of Club Captain, Gary Salt's year and the start of new Club Captain, Alan Pook's year.
Both Gary and Alan’s Charity Representatives made short speeches explaining how each charity worked. The monies raised by members in Gary's year was presented to Lauren from the Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation, a super impressive amount of £12,851! A sincere thank you to all the members of the Club.
Eddie Biddlecombe was ratified as Vice Captain and Gary presented Alan Pook with his new Club Captain's jacket. We wish Alan every success for his upcoming year.
