West Hove win back the Downs Trophy! West Hove took a 3 point lead into the 2nd leg of the Downs Trophy at home against Singing Hills on Saturday. The challenging conditions didn’t stop the West Hove team playing some great golf to win by 12 points and therefore the match by 15 points. Team Captain, Tim Ingram was delighted with the result making special mention of the excellent spirit between the two teams and the recent passing of Mr Michael Hunt and his special connection with both clubs. A fabulous match, well done to all the team.
Congratulations to Morton Bailey who won the Junior Championship Scratch Cup for the third year in a row with a score of 144, 4 over par. Congratulations also to Nick Bi, who won the Junior Club Championship Nett with a very impressive 132, 8 under par. Well played to all the juniors who took part.

We are proud to announce that West Hove ladies won the very first Ladies BDGS team event at the Dyke Golf Club on Sunday. Despite the extreme heat of the day, the ladies won with steady scores of 37, 35, 34 & 33 points and Lilah Sinclair won the lowest gross competition with a 78. Very well done ladies. We hope this is the start of many more wins in this inaugural event.
